The last Alpha course was a great success and full of many blessings and glimpses of God's grace. It is hoped to start another Alpha course in 2008. More details will follow nearer the time.
About the Alpha Course
An Alpha course will be starting at Holy Trinity (in the pod) on the 19th April 2007. It provides an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed setting over ten thought-provoking weekly sessions, with a day away.
What is Alpha?
The Alpha course is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith. It is relaxed, non-threatening, low key, friendly and fun. There is a meal together at the start of each session, which helps people get to know each other.It is a place to Listen, Learn, Discuss, Discover, Ask Anything.
It is supported by all main Christian denominations.
What's Involved?
The Alpha course is a series of talks, looking at topics such as- Who is Jesus?
- Why and How do I pray?
- How does God guide us?
Who is Alpha For?
Alpha is for everyone, especially:- Those wanting to explore the Christian faith.
- Those who want to brush up on the basics.
- Those who want to be refreshed.
- Those who are new to the Christian faith.
How much does it cost?
We ask only for a small donation (whatever you choose) for the cost of the food.The format of a typical night is shown below.
